BLP is a compassion project that is both an individual writing outlet and collective study/conversation around love, being loved and being unloved. Though the list hopefully expands beyond that.
And in true Libra fashion, is a constant work in progress...and can change at any time.
Please, take a look around. <3 -ALQ
"All I ever wanted was to sit by a fire with someone who wanted me in measure the same to my wanting. To want to make a fire with someone, with you, was all."
Thoughts & Stories Welcome!!!
The button below will take you to a google form with a few questions about or related to love. The prompts are (hopefully) designed to encourage folks who answer to tell us a bit about their thoughts on love and their relationship to it. From the most cheesy to most indifferent to most opposed. And everything in between and beyond.
The other hope is to use these words as inspiration for creative projects through this platform both for myself and for others. If you're interested...I'd love to be able to feature other people's words on the instagram and blog with full credit to them if they'd allow. "Anonymous" is also welcome if that's preferred.
"I thought she was sleeping until I heard her call out from across the room, “Will you bring me a glass of water?” I did. Then in her always-sleepy tone and drawl she said, “Do you remember when you were a little boy and you would ask your mama to bring you a glass of water?” Yeah. “You know how half the time you weren’t even thirsty. You just wanted that hand that was attached to that glass that was attached to that person you just wanted to stay there until you fell asleep.”
She took the glass of water that I brought her and just sat it down full on the table next to her. Wow, I thought. What am I gonna do with love like this.
